10 / 16 - Colonel JOHN EIDSMOE, J.D., M.A., M. Div.
Retired Air Force Judge Advocate, Retired Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Air Force Reserve, he currently serves as professor of constitutional law and related subjects at the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law. An expert on the U.S. Constitution working with the Foundation on Moral Law, he holds five degrees in law, theology, and political science. As a constitutional attorney, he has successfully litigated court cases involving First Amendment religious freedom and has defended home education and Christian schools, championed the right of students and teachers to study the Bible in public schools, debated ACLU attorneys on radio and television, and served on the Ten Commandments Legal Defense Team. Author of numerous books including Christianity and the Constitution, demonstrating that our constitutional liberties are a direct result of our founders' moral and religious convictions which were based on a belief in a God who created heaven and earth as well as on the fixed and unchanging absolutes of God's Word.
